Recently, we have published a paper in Preventive Medicine Reports with data from the Longitudinal Aging Study Amsterdam, in which we aimed to explain the association between frailty en mortality in older adults. We considered a broad range of lifestyle, social, psychological, cognitive and physical factors. In both older men and women, we identified polypharmacy as important target to reduce the risk of mortality in older adults with frailty (measured with frailty phenotype). The paper is Open Access, and can be downloaded here.
