Last week, a new paper from our group was published in the European Journal of Nutrition (EJN). The study examined associations of current habitual and midlife coffee consumption with risk of frailty in community-dwelling older adults, using data from the Longitudinal Aging Study Amsterdam (LASA). The results of this study indicate that higher habitual coffee consumption is associated with lower odds of frailty, and it received quite some media attention. The paper was led by first author Mette van der Linden (Amsterdam UMC) and senior author Margreet Olthof (VU Amsterdam). The article in EJN is available in Open Access here.
